You are in the mountains so the cell phone signal will be spotty. Your best bet is to make sure WiFi calling is enabled on your phone. Your phone will still try to use the weak cellular signal if it can, so your best bet is to put the phone in airplane mode but make sure WiFi is still enabled. The Ring Doorbells are used for security purposes when the Cabin by the Creek is unoccupied. They are configured to not record any audio. If you want them disabled during your stay, you can block the cameras with the provided covers. There are doorbells on each of the back porches and one on the shed that can be disabled. Simply remove the cover from the doorbell portion and rotate to cover the camera. Please make sure to return it to the doorbell portion when you check out. We hope you enjoy your stay! The thermostat for the primary floor is on the living room wall. The Thermostat for upstairs is in the loft. Here is a video to help!

This typically happens if the lock is jammed. This can usually be cleared by operating the lock with the door open. Simply open the lock by entering the code you were provided and close the lock using the "lock" button on the keypad. The camera does better with pictures taken outside. It has several settings in the front of the camera that you can change for particular light conditions. Here is a photo explaining the settings. For more detail the video below is very good.
